The following tests are not only aiming to evaluate the bayonet perforation but also the damages coming from an extreme use, both on the top, on the blade, on the tangle which is hardly hit by a sting in order to enable perforation. The test is carried out on a 1 mm high zinc-coated iron plate. At its end it has been confirmed the absence of damages on the blade and on the sharpened side which can influence the use. It has been also confirmed the right working of fixing mechanism of the rifle on the tangle. As a breaking test we have tried to perforate a 3 mm high tempered steel plate: the bayonet lost about 3 mm on the blade top causing only dents on the steel plate.
The test has been carried out on 1 mm high zinc-coated iron plate and underlines the absence of damages on the balde and on the sharpened side and also the right working of fixing mechanism of the rifle on the tangle.
After the perforation and after the cut the balde has no damage which can influence its use.
